Help & answers
A clearer picture of the work.
Understand what you see on Road Tracker, and what the published record can tell you.
How do I find a project?
Search by road name, project code, town, LGA or contractor. Use the directory filters to narrow the results. The map shows projects with published coordinates; the directory also includes those without coordinates.
Why is my road missing?
Only projects with an approved public release appear. An unpublished project, a local government road or a road managed by another authority may not be in this register. Absence from this site does not establish whether work is planned.
Does 0% mean no progress has been measured?
No. A measured zero is different from missing information. If no measurement has been published, the page says progress is not yet available. Look for the measurement date alongside the figure.
Why does a project have no recent update?
A new site record must be reviewed and included in a public release before it appears. An old update does not, by itself, prove that work has stopped. The date tells you how recent the published evidence is.
How accurate are map pins?
A published project coordinate marks a location, not necessarily the full road alignment. Dashed pins indicate an approximate LGA location. Use the project description and landmarks to check the location.
Can I follow a project without signing in?
Yes. Select Follow Project and save it on your device. Open Saved projects to revisit it. Browser bookmarks are another option. Device saves do not send SMS or email alerts and do not sync between devices.
Can I use the photographs as a before-and-after comparison?
Check the capture dates and captions. Different camera positions can make comparisons misleading. A gallery is evidence from a date; it is not, by itself, a certification of completed work.
What should I do about an immediate danger?
Contact the local emergency service or police directly. Stay away from unstable structures and moving traffic. Do not enter a work zone to photograph a hazard. Road Tracker is not an emergency dispatch service.
Can I share a project or print its record?
Yes. Project pages include sharing tools and a printable factsheet. The factsheet contains published information as it appeared when generated; return to the project page for the current release.
